gee. so last weekend frank ocean performed at saturday night live – freakin’ extraordinary! i wrote about him before and i have to say i officially am a huge, huge fan. yes, fan as one could be. i get so excited about him because he actually triggers something inside of me that i last remembered to feel when i was a child. like how i felt when i heard prince for the first time. you know how excited you get about certain musicians when you are a child or a teenager and you don’t really get THAT excited anymore or don’t have that, i call it, “fanfeeling” anymore? well, i again now do. with frank ocean. his voice is just crazy but it’s also who he is, his lyrics and his swag. simply everything. so i wanted to share this performance of him (with john mayer on his side, only mentioning in the passing 
) with you cause it just blows me away. enjoy.
yaaaaaaayyy!! his album is finally out! i simply love him. he really touches me and i think it’s safe to say that his single “swim good” from his debut album “nostalgia/ultra” was my favorite song in 2011. my girls even surprised me with a choreo on it at my wedding. germanys best choroeograph and my dear, dear friend nikeata thompson made the choreo with them and they all together performed it on stage right before our first dance (which we did to madonnas “dress you up” btw ). it still gives me goosebumps when i think about it. so frank ocean is either way a really important artist to me. two weeks ago he had his coming – out which is quite something considering that he is a hip hop artist as well. superbrave and cool. and now we have his amazing album. his voice is so, so beautiful and i just love his style. i think he is one of the best dressed man in music bizz. the song above is from his new album “channel orange”. one of my favorite from the album. enjoy. <3
