looking through the web in search of nice things that are eco friendly, i’ve found “smiling planet” and immediately felt the spirit and loved their stuff. “smiling planet” makes art-inspired lifestyle products for all ages that are earth-friendly and safe, with a line that includes plates, bowls, placemats, books, apparel, and more. basically everything. but even though they have a wide range, every product looks special and lovely. the founder of “smiling planets”, olivia haviland, comes from a family that looks back on a 150 year old history of making fine porcelain. together with her husband, freddy deane, who is an artist and founder of freddy deane’s whimsical art and stories, their products and designs respect the environment. all smiling planet products are manufactured in the usa with safe, sustainable, recycled, and/or organic materials. the company’s whimsical artwork reflects their earth-friendly ethos with a message of peace, diversity, and respect for the environment. i have to say, and as you may know by now, that is exactly what i am looking for in products. and then when it is combined with beautiful artwork and design – taaadddaa, perfecto!
