one and a half years ago, i was having lunch with a good friend who is also a mum, and we were kinda wining about how our life has changed. obviously we are full of love and gratefulness when it comes to our kids but having mentioned that there is also another side. a side where you might feel lonely at times because your phone wouldn´t ring all the time anymore or you have to say no -again-to your friends asking if you want to go to that new club or a moviepremiere or some fabolous dinnerparty. and there comes the point where they would just stop asking.
so my friend says: we are definately no itgirls anymore, more likely exitgirls. and we couldn´t stop laughing about it. that in a way was so true. for a minute we even thought about printing exitgirl tshirts thats how funny we thought it is. so in the evening back home, my daughter ,who was a half year old back then, was finally asleep and i was sitting on the couch relaxing i thought about our conversation again. i was like wait a minute i am definately no itgirl anymore but, hell yeah, i´m a itmum! and there are many itmums out there who feel the same. who are a loving, caring mum but also have that other side –  still interested in fashion, music, fun and having a certain lifestyle. right away my very good friend jamie popped into my head! a wonderful loving but yet very cool mother. the perfect itmum! i called her and we talked about how we feel about our lifes having changed so much and that we should embrace our motherside but at the same time be who we are and that we should work with that. yes, we should do something about it. so we came up with ‘itmums’-a page where we blog about things that are interesting to us like fashion, music, design, thoughts, literally anything but also about being a mother and kids! a side that might also be interesting for people who aren´t parents but might give inspiration to the ones that are. a mumpage that has a lot potential to grow and is different from -i would say- boringass mum-babypages. so here we go! grow with us!!

“i´m attracted to opposites. always have been. i love the beauty in them. i think with my heart and love to kiss. my loyalty to my fam is most important. i love to go dancing and listen to music. i enjoy a good debate. art gives me satisfaction. i love to play with fashion and designs. i´m a self-taught. i keep my humor in every situation no matter what. nutrition is very important to me. i study it. when it comes to upbringing my daughter i always try to find a good balance between intuition and education. i´d much rather like to read a scientific book about the development of a human brain then a guide on how to raise a kid. i keep lightness in my everyday life and depth in my thoughts. i take my daughter very seriously and we have so much fun together. i simply love being a mum and i think being married is the new black. word.” “i’m a young woman, considering herself a cool-type mommy. every day is a challenge, a balancing act between the brought along responsibilities of being a single mother and her self realization, the “living her life thing”.
i love to cook and i love art, i love to play with my child and i love fashion, i work 9 to 5 and i love life, i wash tons of clothes and i care for the environment, i love to read children’s books and i love to go dancing. i’m wild at heart with a responsible mind, living two lifes combined.”
